If you’re an avid outdoors enthusiast, then you’ll love the small town of Huntingdon, PA. Just about every season has something to offer when it comes to outdoor activities. From hiking and camping to boating and fishing, there are so many ways to get back to nature in and around Huntingdon. These are just a few of our favorites!

Greenwood Furnace State Park

This beautiful park is located in the heart of Huntingdon County on the northern edge of Frankstown Township. It’s about 20 miles from downtown Huntingdon, which makes it an ideal place to visit if you want to get away from it all for a few hours or an entire day.

The park has 2,000 acres of forested land with trails that wind through the woods and around several ponds. You can spend hours hiking along these trails without seeing another person! There are also several historical buildings located on the grounds, including a gristmill, sawmill, and blacksmith shop that were built between 1800-1830 by Levi Shafer Jr., who was one of Pennsylvania’s first ironmasters.

Penn-Roosevelt State Park

Penn-Roosevelt State Park is a 1,934-acre park in Huntingdon County. It’s located just north of the town of Lock Haven, on the east bank of the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. The park’s 23-mile trail system offers opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.

The park also has an extensive network of trails for cross-country skiing during winter months. Park visitors can enjoy camping at one of three campgrounds within Penn-Roosevelt State Park: Knob Campground, Long Point Campground, or Warren Point Campground.

Whipple Dam State Park

Whipple Dam State Park is located along the Juniata River, which flows between Huntingdon and Bedford. The park has several trails that run along the river and through the forest. The most popular trail at Whipple Dam State Park is a 2.5-mile loop called the Juniata River Trail that starts off on the north side of the dam, crosses over it, and then returns down the other side.

The trail crosses several bridges over small creeks before ending at a large field where you can see wildflowers in bloom during springtime or watch birds during winter months. If you want more adventure than just hiking through fields, rock climbing is another option at this park. There are several areas with rocks that have been made smooth from years of water rushing over them.

To sum up, there are many activities to engage in around the Huntingdon area, and these three are just a few of the highlights. With the safety features of the Ford EcoSport S, like the vehicle’s electronic stability control and roll stability control, you will feel safe traveling. Be sure to stop by Raystown Ford so one of our dedicated staff members can help you find a car that fits your needs.

Ever since the first model was released back in 1966, the Ford Bronco has been a staple of Ford’s line-up. This SUV has dominated the off-road scene for over 50 years, and it also holds up great as a family car and for daily drives around town. Now, Ford has just released a new 2022 Ford Bronco, and it brings tons of new features that keep it fresh while still maintaining its rugged charm.

Off-Road Capabilities

Building off the previous Black Diamond model, the new Ford Bronco Everglades is designed to tackle the toughest of terrains. Many factory-installed features come as standard such as a high-power winch kit – perfect for getting out of sticky situations – and an air-intake snorkel that sucks in air from above your car while you are driving through deep water.

Alternately, you can opt for the brand new Ford Bronco Raptor, a new design that is aimed at taking on the outdoors at high speeds. Using HOSS 4.0 Suspension with semi-active dampers, this model can soak up the bumps with ease and get you flying across off-road environments.

Slide-Out Tailgate

To allow for easier access to the rooftop storage, Ford has installed all new 4-door Broncos with a sturdy, easy-to-use slide-out tailgate. This can also double up as a table while you are out in the great outdoors, or even as a work surface should you need to do some work in the wilderness. Once you are finished with it, it easily slides away, so you don’t need to assemble or disassemble any parts.

Lots of Cabin Space

Compared to other SUVs in its class, the new Ford Bronco has them all trumped when it comes to the cabin size. Available in a 2-door model with 4 seats or a 4-door model with 5 seats, the cabin is always spacious enough for everyone, and it feels much more comfortable than other off-road SUVs such as the Jeep Wrangler.

Ford CoPilot

If you opt for the Mid Package, you will get access to the Ford CoPilot system. This high-tech system uses cameras mounted around and in-front of the car to inform you of traffic in your blind spot, apply the emergency brakes when necessary, and help to control your speed on highways.

With so many great new features, it’s easy to see why the new Ford Bronco has got everyone talking. Whether you’re heading off-road or simply doing errands around town, this car is perfect for every occasion. If you’d like to see what all the fuss is about, come on down and visit us at Raystown Ford and we can organize a test drive for you.

It’s been engineered with Ford port fuel and a direct-injection system.

Go for all the muscle with the 5.0L TI-VCT V8. This Ford V8’s 10-speed transmission gives you all the strength you need for a payload rating of 3325 lbs, the best in its class. Tow your loads further than ever before with the available 3.5L EcoBoost V6. This engine delivers 400 horsepower and can tow up to 14000 pounds. You heard that right.

Best-in-Class Capabilities

The F-150 is equipped with Ford’s Terrain Management System to optimize performance over any terrain using five settings. The Ford Raptor has seven useful modes: Normal, Slippery, Sport, Tow/Haul, Off-Road, Baja, and Rock Crawl.

Hit that new trail with optimal visibility by adding the available Rigid off-road fog lamps to lighten up what’s in front of you. And available LED project headlamps with Adaptive Dynamic Bending will give you a clear view of both the road and its curves by casting a wide beam that reveals everything around you.

Safety Designed for Boldness

The -F150 comes equipped with safety features that will give you back up when you need it while letting you stay in the driver’s seat. Standard features are lane departure warning, post-collision braking, traction control, and a rear-view camera with dynamic hitch assist to see what’s behind your vehicle. Choose to add other available safety features, like BLIS (Blind Spot Information System). Anytime a vehicle goes in the blindspot of your truck or trailer, you’ll be alerted.

Convenience for Your Lifestyle

Going for a long trip on the road? The F-150 has you covered. With an 8-inch touchscreen multimedia system, you can connect your iPhone or Android and listen to your favorite music. If you need to make a stop and get some work done, use the truck’s available interior work surface to turn the front of your truck into a portable office.
