With the Rattler Off-Road add-on that features including extra performance equipment and some off-road equipment for added off-road capability, it can handle anything from trips to home improvement stores to weekend camping at the lake. Here's a look at what you can get with the 2023 Ford F-150.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The base F-150 XL is equipped with pre-wired trailer hookups, manual-adjustable side mirrors, and 17-inch steel wheels. The Lariat comes with 18-inch wheels, a Class IV hitch, and LED lighting in the bed, while the XLT adds fog lights and 17-inch alloy wheels to this. Upgrade to the Platinum for more external chrome trim and power-deployable running boards, or to the King Ranch for LED headlights, taillights, and 20-inch wheels. The Limited has a dual-panel moonroof and 22-inch wheels.
The first off-road setting is Tremor. It has off-road suspension and 33-inch all-terrain tires as standard, but you can upgrade to the Raptor for larger 35-inch all-terrain tires, adjustable Fox shocks, and fender flares. The Raptor R features 37-inch all-terrain tires.
Engine (Power)
The base engine in the range is a 3.3-liter V-6 with 290 horsepower, but you can also choose between a 5.0-liter V-8 with 400 horsepower or a 2.7-liter turbo V-6 with 325 horsepower. A more potent version of this engine for the Raptor produces 450 horsepower, and there is also a 3.5-liter turbo V6 with 400 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. You can also purchase the F-150 with a 430-horsepower hybrid powertrain in addition to the supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 used in the Raptor R.
Performance
The F-150's towing capacity is outstanding. The V-8 can tow up to 13,000 pounds, while the twin-turbo V-6 can draw up to 14,000 pounds. This vehicle can tow up to 8,200 pounds even with the standard powerplant. From 1,840 pounds to 3,280 pounds can be loaded.
Interior
The bigger taxis provide space for up to six people inside. Basic equipment are included in the base model, but as you go up the range, more upscale items like leather upholstery, more power adjustments for the front seats, and power-adjustable pedals become available. It is possible to have front seats that are both massage and heated.
The Lariat level and above come with a huge 12-inch touchscreen. It makes use of the most recent infotainment system from Ford with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The King Ranch has wireless charging, and the Limited adds an 18-speaker B&O radio system and Ford's Pro Power Onboard system.
